Two thin sheets of metal, reduced to the essential, sustain the piece in a subtle state. The simplicity of the material and its thickness reveal a presence, where form does not impose itself, it simply happens.
As they meet, in a balance between tension and rest, the planes slide over one another, as if completing each other. In this encounter, the reflective surfaces mirror one another. In reflection, the real unfolds into image — a silent happening of matter.
The gesture is minimal and charged with delicacy: like two leaves touched by the wind that, as movement ceases, meet in rest.
Teshima | Limited edition

On the island of Teshima, Japan, lies the Teshima Art Museum, a creation of artist Rei Naito and architect Ryue Nishizawa. A concave concrete structure with two elliptical openings at the top houses the installation Matrix: in this space, compositions of light and shadow, along with silence, invite contemplation. By attuning to the stillness, one can notice delicate water droplets emerging on the floor, slowly moving and elongating, like sculptures in constant transformation.
Jacqueline Terpins creates Teshima from this experience.
The flow of the droplets reflects our own existence. As they cease to be static volumes, move, and open themselves to structural change, they find spaces of possibility.

Between the density of crystal and the lightness of gesture, Impulso presents a solid, geometric volume in movement, as if the matter had been captured at the moment a displacement begins.
When observing the piece, its direction is uncertain: the form suggests action, but keeps the trajectory open.
Massa Vítrea Vase

Massa Vítrea represents incandescent crystal. The blown form, a volume constructed and shaped by human gesture, conducts the material in its state of fluidity.
High temperature is the site of dialogue between Jacqueline Terpins and the crystal. In her process of creation, the designer allows the material to speak for itself, through the freedom granted by heat. The less the material is diverted from its natural trajectory, from its fluidity, the closer it comes to evoking emotion.
Baião Centerpiece

A circular form unfolds into two volumes, establishing a play of rhythm and balance. Far from symmetry, the piece suggests a movement suspended in the crystal, marked by subtle displacements. Inspired by baião, it incorporates a cadence that tensions what is expected and introduces variations, creating a continuous balance between order and deviation.
Seiva Centerpiece and Vase

Blown crystal in successive layers that envelop an initial core, suggesting continuous expansion. The piece evokes sap as vital flow — a silent movement of growth and transformation that redefines its own limits.

A solid crystal volume, of organic configuration, marked by curves and recesses that register the gesture of its formation. Its scale and contour evoke anatomy, inviting touch. The piece is completed in relation to the body, naturally fitting the palm of the hand.
